Completed GReddy RX-7! 56K beware (12 Pics)

I finally finished my Greddy RX-7! This was by far the worst kit I have ever built, the fit was terrible and I had to sand grind to get everything to fit. See the Progress here The hole for the intercooler was closed and I had to open it up so that my home made intercooler would fit. The winglets on the side of the front bumber were way too thick so I fabricated a pair from styrene. As can be expected from Fujimi the ride height was far too high, so I lowered until it looked like the car in the magazine. I also switched out the stock "pram/stroller" rims for some 18 inch AW-7's. I added a boost gauge, BMF behind the rear light cluster and front lights, and BMF was also used on the mirrors. I decided to make myself a bigger exhaust pipe using Shrink Wrap tubing, this way I could get it to taper towards the muffler.

All in all its a terrible kit, but if you have the time you can make it look very nice!

BTW, This is my entry for the Teen Contest

Thumbs up

Nice job! You're right it is a terrible kit, now you know why Subway took the approach he did. What green did you use?
