i've just discovered this forum today! i usually frequent the modelling forum but haven't posted in a long while. Now that I found this forum, I found that spark to draw again!

i have skill, my drawings look really good after all the hours being poured into them but I have no time and I am incredibly lazy. I have a few car drawings I could post up, one is a Subaru Impreza and another is a Mitsubishi Lancer Evo VI. However the down side is I don't have a digital camera . I have a scanner [a rather good one I might add] but it can't really scan the big poster sized drawings. However, I have this one piece of art I'd like to share. Its not a car but its just a taste of my skill.

Sorry, its photographed with a SLR camera so its not really good quality.

Hey Jimster, Is there a way you can post a message on the modeling forum and grahic man. forum to let everyone know we are here.

I figure I ask you because you are a moderator, you got cloute, right?

I have noticed that people sometimes don't check out other parts of automotiveforums.com. Advertising and marketing thats what we need

Thx

It is too bad that scanners only come in 11x14 for the most part.. I guess there are 11x20s too but the bottom line is they are too small.
I am glad you found us. Hope to see some other drawing soon.

I like your anime character, he is cool. Tell us about the work briefly. Is he a reall character or made up one by yourself. I like the red cape.
Great comic feel too.

Actually, he is a real character. The work is a copy of a Clamp magazine cover. It had words and stuff running across the picture so I figured why not remake it without words and make the red more vibrant. The anime is by Clamp, a manga group. The anime title is simply 'X' and I thought the characters look pretty cool so I drew them. I also have another drawing of the same character as a portrait but its pretty big and I can't scan it. Taking pictures with film is such a pain because I usually take one or two pictures of what I want and then I'm stuck with 22 shots which I don't have anything to snap. I really should invest in a digital camera soon :o.

My art medium is usually pencil crayon or graphite pencils. I haven't had good experiences with paint, pastels, or markers because I can't get the proper sharp edges I want. i will try to get other works in digital format and post them up. This forum has lifted my artistic interests and I am hoping I could get to work on some projects soon.

Well, I have to admit they have a ton of art and artists. I like what I see but it is too slow for me since I have a modem. They don't let peops upload pics to their servers so you have to have a place to park your stuff. So when folks link to their pics they could be very large.

I think we just have to make our forum better by getting more folks involved I like automotiveforums.com more than conceptart.org in that regards.

Sorry, for rambling.

Asaenz yeah they dont let you upload (but maybe you could remote link the images from here hehe they only need to be hosted somewhere right?) But the talent and the level of the art is just a great source of inspiration for me. Ive been registered there for a couple years without posting a thing. yeah once the word gets out hopefully more people will come.

I'm going to try and hash out a couple this summer. I'm mainly going to do a new portrait though, but I'm sure to sneak in a few trucks. That conceptart.org site is pretty nice. I'm going to have to pop over there every now and then.
