Passlock on 98 Blazer

I need some help!!! I have a 98 chevy blazer with that cranks, then shuts right off after starting. It was in the body shop for about 5 mos and when I went to pick it up it wouldnt crank. The guys at the shop said they hadn't had any problems with it. It has an Python 3000 hf alarm. I was told that the passlock will shut down the injectors if not working properly. We hooked it up to the GM computer and nothing would come up - no response. What should I try to do to fix it. Also for some reason my digital readout for my odometer and PRNDL doesn't work now.
thanks

Well if you are saying you had a tech install a GM scan tool and it would not power up, then you have a power issue causing the computers not to power up.

Do you have any of these conditions present?

Security lamp is illuminated.
The engine cranks but will not start and the Security lamp is flashing.
The engine starts then stalls and the Security lamp is flashing.
