My husband and I bought our son a used 1985 grey market 323I BMW t-roof convertabile from a friend of his for $5000. Unfortunately he has run into difficulties and cannot afford to keep it. Now we've ended up with it. It's in fairly sound running condition. The interior needs work (seats & carpeting need repair/replacing). It has 164,000 miles on it. It is #13 of that line from Germany.

We don't know much about these cars, nor do we want to invest a lot of money into this vehicle if we are not going to be able to re-coop our losses.

Lastly, do you have any advise for selling this vehicle for the best possible price? Is it worth holding onto as an investment?
