Traction Control in the 3 SeriesWoody_in_Minn 05-12-2003, 07:26 AM Does someone know when BMW started offering traction control in the 3 series? I think it became standard by 1997. Did they offer it in the early 1990's on the 325 ? Thanks! - Woody aka Brian K. Celsdogg 05-12-2003, 10:47 AM i know it was not offered in the E30's from the early 90's, not sure about the E36's caddy_patty 05-12-2003, 12:18 PM My '92 325i (4-door sedan, 1st year of E36 body style) was not available with traction control. I don't know when it became available or standard. gutter 05-21-2003, 01:05 AM Woody_in_Minn I believe the Traction Control (All Season Traction Control - ASC) has been around as an option for a few years before 1997, but came standard on the 3-series after that. I just drove my new '97 328is home from Houston today. Thought I'd put my two cents in. Stoked? Yes I am! Hope that helps! eagerowl 05-22-2003, 04:19 PM Not sure if all E36 3-series had it or if it was optional....it does make a world of difference in Minnesota. I put some Blizzak LM-22's on the stock wheels and it's unstoppable in the winter. badboy325is 06-02-2003, 07:23 PM my 94 325is has ASC traction control, newer models have DSC traction control phat bimmer 07-09-2003, 01:33 PM just FYI, in germany, 1991 was the first year for the e36!!!!!!!!! vBulletin®, Copyright ©2009, Jelsoft Enterprises Ltd.
