Today's pics. Needs some touch ups here and there. The rear wiper and front/rear signal lamps aren't installed yet.

Filed the kit's calipers off the rotors and glued Fujimi Brembo discs directly on. Glued them offset to lower the car even more.

Open hood shots. A bit sloppy as I still have to go over the little details and paint/scrape where needed.

Good job!

If you paint the window trims black the car will look even better, but if not its still a nice build.

Awesome engine bay and one kick ass model the only thing I may coomment is that some chrome wheels(with just a little less camber) might make the model look top notch anyway it's still so hot!!!!
Great work!

Great Jobay!!! From the pics your scratch building looks SOO clean, I love how it all comes together and looks so detailed. I usually get a little crazy with my mods and end up going overboard sometimes. Again, great job, no errors that I can see.;)

djmr2 - Not sure what you mean about the lip, but there is no putty on there. I usually file/sand joined edges as smooth as possible so that no putty is needed.

MythosGR - I'm not a big fan of chrome rims so I shot some chrome silver onto the chrome rims from the Civic Si. It looks much better in person, more of a satin metallic look that Tamiya rims usually come in. The camber is what the kit has, I didn't change it. The base is just a flimsy box so it might give the illusion of an off-camber wheel.

Yes the turbo is scratchbuilt but I do have the masters to make more resin copies. I'll post more about that when the right time comes.

The brakes are almost as big as the rims! That'll stop an integra in less than 100 feet which is good for a streetcar!

The piping you see in the progress pics was the prototype which used aluminum tubing. The pictures of the completed car has the resin pieces installed and painted. Intercooler was done with styrene and junked radiator cores but again the completed one is the resin piece.

I'll have resin kits for sale when I sort out the instructions. It's a bit too complicated to explain how to assemble the mess of pipes without pictures. There are other resin kits in the works, I'll be posting the website in the classifieds and possibly my sig when it's ready.

Chassis is painted black and fogged with silver. The details are then picked with a brush with a combination of dry brushing, brush painting, and washes.

Off to the next project. Thanks for looking!

That square is just part of the exhaust manifold. I had to make it thick so it would survive the de-molding process. It can be filed down to any size that "looks" right, I just didn't do it.

I did make a BOV but it isn't on this one. It's really tiny, based on the Turbo XS unit.

"The brakes are almost as big as the rims! That'll stop an integra in less than 100 feet which is good for a streetcar!"

Brakes that big will lock your wheels up causing your 0-60 stop distance to be well over 100ft. Basically you don't want brake discs over 13-14 inches.
