Question 1998 tahoe clicks loud braking

Mechanic says nothing is wrong but a very loud metallic click is heard from the drivers side wheel area when starting to apply the brakes.

Also even after an alignment the Tahoe steering pushes if turned to far to the right and you hit a small rock or bump in the road.

Otherwise I love my Tahoe.

Thanks for any clues? Chip

Mine did it on the right front. I was told that the control arm bolt was loose and needed to be snugged up with a breaker bar, not just an air gun.
