OK all, i am gong to buy a 1979 cdv. it has a odsmobile rocket engine in it and a high performance carborator. The ac doesnt work (needs to be charged) and there is a dent in the door. but it only cost 2000 dollars. Buy my '84. No dents, no rust. Cold A/C that has been converted to 134A. 25 mpg on the highway.
If you don't want the '84, and do buy the '79, nothing dresses them up more than a new set of Caddy emblems. Hood Ornament, Trunk lock cover, and Wheel cover centers. Most of the time these have faded out, fallen off, or whatever. You can still get most of these from the dealer.

your caddy is great but i dont have $4500 and i have no way to get it from kentucky. Otherwise i would gladly take your car.
