Unhappy Vr6

I need some help, just purchased a 96 VR6, had no manuals in it.
My check engine light is on and I could not find the plug to get a reading on the problem...It's not under the dash...? need some help....

Thanks.....

It should be in the center console under the a/c controls. Next to the rear window switches.

Good luck.

Re: Vr6

Look besides the ash try, a small panel with an engine on it. Pull the ashtray out and slide the panel to the left.
