adjusting clutchpaintguy98 11-01-2001, 01:01 PM Does anyone know if you can adjust the clutch in a 280zx so it engages more towards the floor than at the top -- I just put a new gearbox and centerforce clutch in my '80 280zx and the engagement of the clutch is to far towards the top when I let it out. Brandon BleachZee 12-07-2001, 03:23 PM Check the slave cylinder to make sure its not too far into the clutch fork. It could be applying a small amount of pressure all the time. Just loosen the two bolts that hold it to the transmission, wiggle the cylinder around (pushing it away from the end of the fork that sticks out of the transmission) and then re-tighten it. there is also some adjsutment right on the clutch pedal. You can adjust the stopper to make the pedal stop at different positions and also adjust the rod that pushes on the clucht master cylinder. make sure there is no pressure on the cylinder when the clutch is fully released. robert erickson 06-16-2003, 05:58 PM what year is that car? im looking fore one like that Automotive Network, Inc., Copyright ©2012
