which golf should i buy?

im looking for a 95+ i want one that is fast! which is the fastest volkswagon? thanx guys!

'95-'98 = gti vr6 (about 174 hp), '99-'03 = vr6 higher top end more power available because it is a V6 ('99-'02 about 174hp, '03 204 hp), 1.8t (about 180hp quicker but not faster and cheaper to tune.

if you are lookign for a A3 chassis ('93-'98) the GTI VR6 is the ONLY way to go unless you are going to swap in a newer engine or you wanna play around with the 2.0l (115hp) engine all day.
