red oil pressure warning light lingers on at atartup then goes out , then again turns on when car reaches operating temp, but sometimes goes out when i accelerate. the oil level is fine, and i recently changed oil and filter. started having problem immediately after replacing fan belt.

have you checked the oil pressure sending unit, its located on the cylinder head near the firewall.

i guess engine is going down( I hope not ), but if it is you still can keep car running by putting thick oil: 20W-50, espially if you live in hot area.
