You actually finished a model :flipa: Hehe, never mind that, keeping a cliche alive. Nice to see something different. Not my taste, but it looks good anyway. How old is this model? Ayala 04-27-2003, 02:54 PM a steal for such a nice kit. great job!!! btw did you encounter any fit problem while in prog? supratuner 04-27-2003, 02:55 PM looks pretty good! Layla's Keeper 04-27-2003, 02:58 PM Heh, a glimpse at when rotaries had carburettors. It's a beauty. I hope my Monogram turns out nearly as well. Kudos. Jay! 04-27-2003, 03:05 PM Thanks for the comments, kids. :D Originally posted by Dr.AK where 's the sidemirror ? :DOh, man. They're here, but they look like turds. I want to spruce them up a bit, but don't think I have the tools to do it just yet... Originally posted by Marco_Wrc How old is this model? Umm... I dunno. I can't find a copyright date on the box or instructions. It is kit #16 in Tamiya's Sports Car Series (they're up to 26x now), and I believe mine is an original issue, because it came with the electric motor and running gear. Originally posted by Ayala btw did you encounter any fit problem while in prog? One minor thing, the left side of the rear glass didn't exactly reach all the way to the body to snap in to place. You can kinda see it in the 5th pic looking down on it. That was it. The rest of the kit was clean as a whistle. There was one user-generated error, though. The wires I used to connect the headlights were to bulky, and the lights couldn't retract fully with them installed, so they are temporarily removed... ZoomZoomMX-5 04-27-2003, 03:12 PM Nice work there! My old RX7 was also painted red, I used the original "rotor" wheels on mine. The ones you chose look good on it. daggerlee 04-27-2003, 03:16 PM Nice and classy, glad you didn't put big rims on it. Midnight Racer 04-27-2003, 03:33 PM Great shine. flyonthewall 04-27-2003, 04:48 PM Great job Jay, so whats next? YOu should build kits more often. :D Jay! 04-28-2003, 10:08 PM I've been advised by a former owner to add the tint to the moonroof. It comes as a translucent brown decal. Opinions? And what about panel lines? Surprised no one mantioned anything about them... ;) integra818 04-28-2003, 10:26 PM Originally posted by jay@af And what about panel lines? Surprised no one mantioned anything about them... ;) IMO, they make the car look uglier when they're thick, but I saw your S2000 in person and if you can do the the same panal lines like the S2000 on the RX-7, it'll turn out great! :) Automotive Network, Inc., Copyright ©2012
