Port and Polish

Has anyone had their head shaved and/or port and polished? I was seriously thinking about it and was wondering what type of results anyone came up with. I know what it would literally result in, but i just wanted some 1st person input.

not on a supra...

but i had my head ported/polished, milled 30 thousandths, and had the intake manifold polished and port matched...

gave a much more robust feeling in my car...

it's an 89 prelude si, so it wasn't some lifechanging experience, but i feel that it was worth it..
the car also benefits from other mods more, like my header, new exhaust and straight pipe...

compared to a stock 89, it hauls...

if you've got the head off, it's worth it, but keep in mind that shaving the head raises compression, not good for turbo...

I did it to my 1988 Supra. I did it my self just about a week ago. I bought a rebuild engie but have not put it in because of work I'm busy this time of year. If you have the machine and knowledge it is very easy. I bought JE pistons for it but there still in the box. This time of year it is usally race time but the turbo I just bought broke the bearings came lose. But you should feel the difference with new pistions. is your 1992 Supra a turbo if so it makes it much faster.

My mods are
K&N FI Pk
HKS blowoff valve
Magna spark plug wires
550cc Injectors (might go to 7200cc)
60-1 wheel turbo upgrade ( I might go to a T04E turbo)
Turbo elbow
Spearco Innercooler
Hks exhaust & test pipe and Down pipe
No cats
Exaust cut-off for open headers
fuel pump and manual pressure regulator
Lexus/REMI air fuel management system
Clutch Master stage 3
Fluidine radiator
Greddy boost controler
Gauges to monitor everything
HKS MHG

I am having my head race ported and flowed. I will have the results in two or three weeks. Stock flow numbers vs fully ported.
