Rear bearing R&R

Can anyone give a detailed description of how to remove and replace the rear bearings and seals on an 03 jimmy 4x4 Thanks

I went to AutoZone .com and unfortunately they do not have any repair guides for this vehicle. Any other leads.

ok if memory serves me well there is 2 ways the axle can be removed which 1
it is??but you will be able to tell
jack up truck & remove wheel & drum
looking at the face of axle(where wh studs are)is there a hole the size of a quarter
if so go through hole with socket to remove 4 retaining bolts (9/16 i think)
axle will pull out the bearing is pressed on/off with a press(machine shop)
if no hole in axle then you need to remove retainer in side rear pumkin
taking pumkin cover off removing the pin 1/4 or 5/16 wrench
remove pin & retainer clip then axle can be pulled out
use drain pan under pumkin when removing cover as this will drain flud

if you need to go into pumkin DONT allow wheels to turn with pin out

1. These trucks do not have rear drum brakes.

2. If it is the G80 code rearend then there is more to it than just tearing it apart.

Unfortunately, the best I can suggest is to either buy a Chilton's/Haynes manual or go to Alldata.com and get a vehicle subscription and it will give you detailed instructions.

disc/drum would'nt matter but if they changed the setup that might.i have'nt done any on the newer modles.sorry if i misguided you

Went ahead and started R&R. Parts purchased by the supplier were different than those in the vehicle (bigger).I went to a different supplier and he had the same parts as the first supplier. Was the 02 Jimmy built with different size rear axles. The bearing and seal that are on this vehicle are much smaller than those listed in the supplier's catalogs.
