97 Jimmy no start
As you can see, no start. Just replaced battery (Die Hard) and fuel filter. Checked fuel pressure KOEO was @ 55 PSI and held firm long after key off. My chiltons says 54 psi is good, but here in the forums everyone says 60 min?? Motor is V6 CSEFI. Got dark and havent checked for spark yet.. If I find good blue spark, what next.. If no spark, what next..

Re: 97 Jimmy no start
Welcome to AF. 65 is the usual pressure for a Vortec set up, but try spraying carb cleaner into the intake see if it kicks.

Re: 97 Jimmy no start
No issue with the o2 sensor, you should have blue not orange spark.

Re: 97 Jimmy no start
So if I have a weak spark coming out of the coil wire, it should be a bad coil or posssibly corroded battery cables right ??

Re: 97 Jimmy no start
Tomorrow night I will be doing more testing on batt cable and coil, but I have a question on the fuel pump. I have 55 PSI KOEO and all the threads say to have at least 60. But when I pulled my plugs they were soaked in gas ?? So is my pump good ?????

Re: 97 Jimmy no start
The the regulator or injector spider under the intake could be leaking causing the low pressure and wet plugs.

Re: 97 Jimmy no start
Lose the Chilton manual... usually they're "OK" for the basic things like oil changes, but don't trust it for anything more, especially when it comes to specifications.
GM factory spec for CSFI fuel pressure is: key on engine off, fuel pump running: 60psi to 66psi, and must remain above 55psi for 3 to 5 minutes after the fuel pump shuts off.
