97 talon engine stalls randomly without dying altogether

Greetings. I have a non-turbo 97 Talon, and over the past couple of weeks its developed a problem where while its running the motor will stall almost completely, without dying, then it will run normal again for a random period of time, then it does it again. For example, if I'm driving and I have the cruise on, when the motor "jerks" it will kick the cruise off in the second or two that the motor stalls, and then it goes back to running normally. It doesn't matter if its idling, at speed, or accelerating, I don't see any obvious issues with plug wires or vacuum hoses. I'm not getting a check engine light or any other indicators of a problem. Perhaps the coil pack?
