Help Please!!!!!!!!!Overheating

Okay. Water pump/new/ works fine. With the thermostat out, the car stays cold. With any kind of thermostat in, it boils over. Top hose is hot and bottom hose is cold. The water seems to not be flowing, but all passages are clear and open. New radiator, and when flushing engine, it flows right through. Am I missing something?

Are the fans working? Headgasket leaking? Timing belt in time?

Open the bleeder screw on radiator and add coolant to the radiator(cap). Start the car and keep adding to coolant until coolant flows out of the bleeder screw. Wait for fan to kick on then off. Or until you see no more bubbles. Sound like you have air in the system.

Subarus are really good about burpingon their own, besides there aren't any bleeder screws unless it's a turbo engine.
