What is Obama's approval rating at now? I rarely even see people try to defend him anymore on political forums. I honestly hope that he in some way can get out of office as soon as possible. And frankly, I believe that if someone voted for him from the beginning they were either greedy or or incredibley gullible.

EDIT: I looked it up and his approval rating has slipped from 68% to 60%. However, when voted into office his approval rating was at 83% and fell to a staggering 68% approval rating after only one week. While that may be, he has over double the average disapproval rate from a president that has taken office after just one month which is 24%. I have a feeling we will see these continue to worsen as time goes on.

Unfortunately, i think the damage is already done. In fact, the damage was done back in 2001 when congress didn't listen to Bush's warning about an impending Fannie Mae/Freddie Mac financial crisis....and then again in 2003 when he and McCain more urgently did the same.

I listened to his address to congress tonight and he had a few point I can agree with but the rest is misguided bullshit mixed with absurd claims. How the hell does he think he can cut the deficit in half during his term when he just added close to a trillion on top of it?

Seriously, though I thought about it and I would rather see Pelosi run out of Washington. She is the dumbest pile of shit ever. She's the kind of person I would just like to punch in the face to absolutely no reason.

We sure could use Regan right now.

Pelosi is one of the dumbest people to ever reach upper-level politics I have ever seen. You have to love her, "I just saw a ghost" look. And you're right Polygon, his speech is what it has been from the start...a misguided false hope. Looks like when I get out of college in a year or so I won't have a job market to go into.

His approval rating keeps dropping. At this rate his approval rating will be less that Bush's was in 6 months.

Actually it went back to 67 after his speech. I doubt we will see a president worse than Bush in our lifetime (or at least I hope).. HOPE HA!

See, that is the thing. He talks a big game which gets everybody excited. And honestly, he does a very good job at speaking which is why he so convincing to everybody. Unfortunately, that is all he is, is talk. I would be nothing short of surprised if he is very unpopular in the coming years.
