i'll second that. the R-35 may be faster, but i really dont care for the styling at all. The back end is the only asthetically pleasing view.
That and the price puts it out of reach of 99% of people. I think i'm right in saying that the old one was like half the price?

I see your point that it is in general a spendy car to purchase. However, for the performance you get from it compared to others that perform similar, it is pretty cheap. It beat the Ferrar Enzo around the ring' which isn't too shabby for a car around $70-80k.

$70k is sticker price. Then you have to deal with dealer mark up.
I know someone who paid $30k on top of the final sticker price for a R35.
Give me a C6 Z06. Looks better, no stupid launch control that must be used to achieve the advertised numbers yet voids the warantee. Dont forget about 427 cubic inches of brute force power.

Hell, for that price you could have the mack daddy ZR1, which is close to untouchable. Ar a viper ACR which has the ring record. both sure look alot better.
they reprogrammed the launch control and fixed the issue for the 2nd year models

Re: 3000gt's/Stealth very own off topic thread: Part Quatre
The ZR1 is definately a sick car. However, that still does not change the fact that it does quite well for it's price excluding looks which is all opinion. We will also have to see what the Spec-V does on the ring' as I would not be surprised if it tops the ZR1...time will tell.
And honestly, while it does look cool...it's just another Corvette roaming the streets. I don't know about where you live but there are a trillion Vette's here.

Re: 3000gt's/Stealth very own off topic thread: Part Quatre
The Spec V is going to be nothing special. Its keeping the same power output and its also going to be close to $160k if I remember right.
Even if it gets the rumored 520 hp its still less than the ZR1's 638hp. The Vette's lighter too. That and the ZR1 can be had for $40k less. Hell the "base" ZR1 is "only" $103k
So ZR1 looks better, has more power, is lighter, and is less expensive. Looks like the GTR loses in every aspect.
