93 Ford Probe transmission

Has anyone with the 93 Ford Probe transmission went out on them? My car has experienced some very cold weather and is taking a little longer to shift into gear, also it's making me push even harder on the gas, and it's not going that relative speed?

Help!!!!!!!!!

Re: 93 Ford Probe transmission

First things first. Is the transmission fluid low? Is your engine getting to operating temperature? The tranny lines run through the radiator to heat the fluid up. Does the problem go away after a while? If the tranny doesn't take hold when you put it into D then let the system warm up a bit and try it again. An older tranny gets marginal in cold weather. You might try a bottle of Transmission conditioner in it or change the fluid.
