need help planning a tune-up

A guy I know has a 1992 Ram Van 350. He wants me to help him change the plugs. My question/concern is I've heard there are a few plugs that are really hard to reach. Is that the case with this engine? We don't have a hydraulic jack (to jack up the car high to get underneath), or any 'special' tools. In your experience, are there any tools, tricks, etc, that are not in the Haynes Manual that I should know before I agree to help him? Between us we've done tune-ups on other cars, but no V-8 vans...only 4 or 6 cylinder in-line engines.
Thanks in advance-
John

Once the engine cover is off, all of the plugs can be removed from the top using one of, or a combination of, a 3" extension, a 6" extension, a universal, a ratchet, and a 5/8" spark plug socket.

Stick with Champion plugs only which Chrysler only recomends and stay away from Bosch plugs. There are plug sockets with a built in universal. The impact grade swivel plug socket is the best one, does not bind. Most tool trucks sell them and you pay their price. The chrome universal plugs sockets bind real easy.
