1997 Ram Van: My headlight switch won't turn on all the way!
Hi,
Can someone help? I got in my van one night and my headlights would not turn on. I noticed that when I pulled the headlight switch it would only pull halfway. So, all I got were the "Orange" lights and rear lights. It seems like the switch is stuck and won't pull out all the way. I'd like to fix it myself, I have the dash cover off and can see the housing. Please help! |

The switch is internally cracked or otherwise broken. You'll need to replace it.

Yes it's easy. Just remove the instrument cluster trim and there will be a plate with 3 screws holding the switch. Remove that and the rest of the steps will be obvious. You'll be reusing the same knob so don't break it.
