Air Bag lights stays on CLK55

Has anyone heard of an issue with SRS system on a 2005 MB CLK55? The SRS light is lit after a minor front end collision but the air bags did not deploy. The SRS diagnosis is the main computer module. The code will not clear. It really doesn't make sense the module should need replacement.... or does it?

Has this model given problems in the past? Any info is appreciated.
