Hesitation in to 1st Gear from engine-off stop.
Hi All,
I have a STOCK 2000 Subaru Legacy GT [135k] AUTOMATIC TRANNY [softly driven, all highway] which, for around 10k miles, has been acting a little strange into 1st gear. I had my auto transmission flushed and filter replaced at 60k and 120k, no problems then. When I am at a engine-off stop, and getting into 1st Gear, sometimes the tranny takes a little time to engage; like 5-10 seconds. If I rev it a little it encourages the gear to engage but I don't want to break anything further. All other gears are fine, auto UP-and-downshifts are fine; just 1st gear from an engine-off stop. Could this be just be a clutch issue or a sign to change my tranny fluid? Thanks, Fabian |
