Re: AF Group Build- Air Cooled!
Welcome to AF! We'll certainly have you, as long as your willing to participate.
Isn't that a terrific kit? One just found it's way into my stash, and it's simply amazing- the detail almost rivals Tamiya's Enzo. It would make a terrific addition.

Heck, even I have an idea for this group build. But we'll just see what comes of that...

TERRIFIC!
Really I can't understand where those "old school" engineers gone: and note: the 356 EM series is way better than any other EM kit to me, 911 and ponys included: I bought my first few days ago but I guess much other will follow.
Meanwhyle I taken my decision, or better fixed my AC priorities:
-1st Isetta, may be I'll do a (light) de-conversion to the original Iso Rivolta Isetta, sold later to BMW under license, with a little "plus":

-2nd I'm studying hard, collecting refs and several books about the 917, since I hasn't one, obviously with all those tons of refs I'm very tempted to do the whole spaceframe, and for my first 917 a cool livery would be the following (thanks to Nic for the advice, I'm sure we talk about over our mails)

I love this car, I forgot all my dear ferraris LOL
A third one if I got time would be a 356, probably spider (I seen somewhere a speedster version, without windscreen... fantastic..), once a time the 356 EM kit is superb, may be he'll be hard to put togheter but speaking of details....fantastic.

Re: AF Group Build- Air Cooled!
The Porsche 959 was actually aircooled with watercooled heads. But I think that counts. And Tamiya's version was a major pain to build (not typical Tamiya fitment anyway) Unfortunately I have no more aircooled kits in my stash!

Re: AF Group Build- Air Cooled!
I have a completed Tamiya 959, 993 GT1 and finished a stock build of the Tamiya Beetle. I'm new here, what do you have to do to be involved with the group builds?

Just build! Place 'Air Cooled GB' in your thread title, and build an aircooled model. Not alot have been started yet, but a few more 356s should be coming along shortly.
993 GT2? The GT1 was neither aircooled nor a 993.

I'll find something to build. Been eyeing the 993 GT2 Club sport for a while.
I built the tamiya GT1 which was based (sort of) on the 993 but as I just found out was water cooled. The original article I found before my first post said it was aircooled. Guess they were wrong LOL!

Re: AF Group Build- Air Cooled!
The Porsche 917 (Fujimi), 956 (Tamiya), and 993 GT2 (Tamiya) are good options.
