99 Buick Regal blower motor problem
I replaced the blower motor on my 99 Regal. The heater blew air for one week, then suddenly stopped. I've got auto climate control, and was wondering if if I could have the A/C control module tested (I have removed the blower motor and the module already)? Is there any way to test the module? Also if not those two things, what else could it be?

Re: 99 Buick Regal blower motor problem
I traded in by 99 Buick in '06 because of too many problems with the AC sysytem. I am sure the systems can be tested by an AC shop or the dealer. $$$ The auto control system was a nice feature, but with any fully automatic system, when something goes wrong get ready for a wallet attack.

Re: 99 Buick Regal blower motor problem
Is that a facsimile Bo? Doesn't look like a blower motor control module for a '99 Regal LS or GS with the CJ2 ACC to me. Also, if the blower motor turns out to be bad the OP should ensure he gets the right one since the manual and ACC system use different blower motors by part number.

Re: 99 Buick Regal blower motor problem
Thanks Guys,
I pulled that *&%$ control module. I guess I'll hot wire test the motor now. Do you think it would be worth it to get a junk control module, or just bite the bullet and get a new one? Thanks again. |

Re: 99 Buick Regal blower motor problem
Thanks for all your help.
Well I tested the motor, worked fine. Got to looking further into the troubleshooting, and discovered the low blower fuse was missing from the panel. I got it all put back together, and it all works fine. My only question is why did the system run for one week and then decide it needed that fuse? |

Re: 99 Buick Regal blower motor problem
The most logical explanation is that specific fuse is missing by default or not supposed to be installed. Pull it out and see what it does.
I don't have it installed and mine works fine.
