Unhappy 2000 Camry power outlet fuse location?

I have a 2000 Camry, and the power outlet has no voltage, although cigarette lighter does, and all other circuits are good. I have a Haynes manual, the User manual, and have downloaded the Service manual, but cannot get a clear answer on where the fuse is located. Unless I'm supposed to remove part of the plastic housing, I do NOT see a fuse panel on the driver's kick panel. The large fuse panel under the hood does not list one for the power outlet, but they all check good anyway. I'm stumped! I bought the car used, and this outlet has never worked for me. I'm sure its a fuse, but where???
Thanks in advance!

There should be a fuse panel behind the coin tray on the dash, by the driver's left knee. Remove the coin tray and you will see it. The diagram of fuses may be on the back of the coin tray itself. Also, check your owner's manual (if you received it with the car) for the location of fuse boxes and the respective fuses.

Thumbs up Re: 2000 Camry power outlet fuse location?

Mike,
Boy, do I feel like an idiot! NO WHERE did I read that you had to remove the coin tray, although there were plenty of pictures of the fuse block with nothing blocking it! Anyway, found it immediately, checked the fuse - was good. Pulled the plastic trim from around the radio/temp/ashtray, and for some reason the terminal plug was removed and just hanging there. I used caution in case there was some short I didn't know about, but hooked it up, and all is well. Got the extra +12v I need for my GPS now...
Thanks for your prompt and helpful response!

previous owner might have ganked it for safety reasons with kids, or to deter smokers? that's actually not too bad an idea. but wait, the cigarette lighter worked anyway. now i'm stumped. htf does that get pulled?

Glad the problem is solved. At least you learned where the additional fuse panel is, should it become necessary to change a fuse in the future.
