1992 B250 Trans Or Engine Hesitation?
Hey guys.
First post for me as I've come from an Astro to a classic B250, Just picked up from UK docks today but although stunning and very rare (I think?) its a super stretch LWB Conversion I HAVE A PROBLEM. Its a 5.2 V8 SFi 1992 model auto with overdrive 53,000 miles. I think it maybe a gearbox issue but its possibly engine hesitation, maybe you guys can help When travelling at a constant speed it bucks, judders, hesitates, but if I accelerate or come off the throttle its fine???? it does it with pedal control or with cruise on. It shifts gears correctly and smooth and stays in gear, this is the only fault plus I noticed my mileage is not going up but speedo is working. Fluid is red and not burnt (I say this as I had a 95 Ram where the box was shot and needed replacing at over $4,000!!! yes we get ripped off in the UK lol!!) |

Do you have a fuel injector per cylinder or just two in the throttle body?

I asked about the injectors because the symptoms you described point towards a faulty injector. These symptoms are not that noticeable when you have one injector per cylinder, but they are more pronounced when you have only two like you do. I'd look into one of the injectors having a low coil resistance or that it is dirty.
