i like the idea of one lap qualifng, i think thats a good idea, but the parc ferm?? what eva its called is crap, thats not F1! thats not why i became so damn interested in the sport, i think that last year really scared the other top teams, there was no real need to change rules the way they have.
I dont think Max has the best intentions for the sport. and im not gonna back that one up!

Ha! Predicted this one! No, it's not hard. If you're good enough, you'll move up the ladder. Quite a few top drivers started their careers at Minardi.

No, that is called CART/Indy. They also have compulsory pitstops - wonder how long before this feature is implemented in F1.

The reason I dislike DC so much (as well as McLaren to a point) is Suzuka 99. He had no business holding up Schumacher when he was chasing Hakkinen. (though I have no objections to the outcome of the 99 championship). This could lead to too many dirty tactics. If you want to find the leader, the proper way is to actually fight for the lead, and not while being lapped.

don't mention Suzuka 99 or I will Mention Austria 2002!!
At least the spectators got some value for the money at Suzuka in 99 whereas in Austria 2002...
I don't want to start anything here, not at all, but that statement is unfair from someone who's favourite team doesn't respect the ethics of the sport either
So my point Ales, at the end of the day, it's all part of the game, whereas the new regulations are going to upset this game...

Show me a single team that will give a hoot about the ethincs if ignoring them will give them advatage in the race or in the championship. And as I've expressed numerous times, I see nothing wrong with what happened in Austria 2002. Team orders are (were? Yeah right) part of F1, and there's nothing wrong with trying to maximise every situation. In retrospect, we know that it wasn't needed, but back at the A1 ring, I was all for it.
If anything, DC deprived the fans the battle for the lead when he interfered. Good thing you didn't bring up Malaysia 99 when MS was holding everyone up to allw Irvine to take the win. Because then MS was on the same lap and was legit in doing what he did. And it was soooo much fun to watch!

Speaking of teamorders, DC was just doing that, holding back because McLaren wanted him, as did MS like you mentioned, so you got my point. Good.

That's why i said I dislike McLaren as well Holding someone up when you're a lap down is just wrong. I don't remember anyone else doing this intentionaly in my years (granted, not as many as yours) of watching F1.

But don't get me wrong here - I'm very thankful that Mika won the race and the championship. He deserved it, and I wouldn't have wanted Irvine to win it!
