Ok, as far as i know, you can't paint cloth. I put new, red cloth over my original armrests. as for your headliner, i don't know what material your headliner is, but mine is cloth, so i just used the same cloth on the headliner as I did with my armrests. I just used some cloth glue and glued the red cloth to the old grey cloth of the headliner. If your headliner is vinyl, then you should get vinyl DYE, not paint. No, you don't put a clear coat on the vinyl after you have DYED it. When you dye vinyl, the vinyl turns that color. There isn't any paint on top of the vinyl at all. for instance, if you cut the dyed vinyl, the vinyl would be that color all the way through. There is nothing stuck on top of the vinyl, so you don't use a clear coat. That'd be like putting clearcoat on your stock vinyl. When I complete my interior here in the next few weeks, i'm going to write up a detailed faq that everyone can use to paint there interiors.
