I know this is an old post but yes, I did write up that whole thing on my own. I had a friend whom had insider information.

not too keen on all of them being white, but apart from that it sounds like a legend before its even born. Looks like we're looking at well over 300bhp/ton

i just hope it gets meaner looking alloys than the new GT3 - its alloys are too "pretty" and not as mean looking as the mk1 GT3... i have faith in Porsche
There are two rumors floating right now. One of them is saying the GT3 RS will actually look like the actual customer race car. Another is saying that it will look like the GT3 but with a different rear wing to further seperate the upcoming RS and normal GT3 cars.

One of the users from a Porsche forums posted new GT3RS information in the German forum. Only a few short points:

1. power slightly over the original GT3 power...something around 390 HP
2. PCCB
3. weight reduction at least 120 kg
4. street tires (optional: Pirelli PZero Corsa)
5. rear spoiler gets an additional lip, front spoiler gets two little additional air inlets
6. some carbon parts involved in production
7. no A/C, no radio and no Bi-Xenon lamps
8. body the same as on the GT3 (no "wide-body")

Official information should be out soon.

A little comment from my side: I heard that the power stays the same but maybe this info is newer and more precise now.

I heard it gets a better exhaust, which is what liberates the few extra hp

One of the users at a Porsche forum posted and provided some information concerning the GT3RS road car. The information isn't verifiable, so please take the whole thing with a grain of salt.

Technical Information GT3 RS:
- 390 HP
- no PCCB but yellow calipers
- Steering wheel with suede rim but retains airbag
- Carbon Fiber look door mirrors
- Air vent in engine cover bigger
- Single mass flywheel
- Suspension: revised and optimized suspension pickup points, stiffer springs and shocks
- Carbon fiber rear wing
- Lighter body shell, lighter rear window (plastic), lighter bonnet (carbon fiber), lightweight battery (50A/hr) and deletion of air con and air bags

The pictures do look photoshopped but one of the administrators at a Porsche forum has been informed that these pictures are accurate to what the production RS will look like. Both the administrator and his informant reside in Germany so I have much faith in them.

The GT3 has been out in the European market for a couple months now and the US release date was slated last month but why are there no GT3s flooding the roads? Porsche was having troubles with EPA certification for the GT3. The issue has now been resolved but for an odd reason, Porsche AG wants the top 30 dealers to all get their cars at the same time. The cars are being held awaiting more cars to hit the port. There are 14 total in the US awaiting release.

I really don't know what was the reason for the hold up except for the EPA certifications. I just heard this through the grape vine at one of my resources.
