While we're on the subject of HLJ, has anyone experienced an order cock-up from them??

I was waiting for my first order (out of four), and it came yesterday. I was pretty sus at the size of the box as it was only a Fujimi 1/24 kit, wheel set and a set of lights from Modellers. Opened it and they got the lights right, but gave me a Nissan S-14 Silvia and a Nissan 240Z!!

How they got that wrong I don't know.

Has anyone had a similar problem? How do they sort it out??

I heard from anime mode people that they mixed up MANY orders during and after the holiday season.
You write to them, and ask if then want the wrong items to be shipped back at their expense.
Usually, they tell you to keep those kits, and they'll send you the right items.
If so, you just got free S14 and 240Z.

Thanks Hiro!

I had heard the myths about the mixed up orders before, and that they allow you to keep them as a courtesy.

Anyways, I emailed them telling them of their mistake, and I await their reply (probably tomorrow). I would keep it in mind to tell them I would charge the shipping to them, if they want them back. Hehehe.

Keep you posted.

I AM HAPPY, HAPPY, HAPPY!

Got home from work last night and two orders from HLJ arrived at once and were waiting for me. Got my long awaited Ferrari Enzo, Early Nissan Silvia Veilside and Honda CR-x.

The Enzo is a beautiful kit, which I am planning to do a real proper job on. I want to put Carbon Fibre all over the neccessary parts. One very small point in the manufacturing of this kit is that seeing how extensively Tamiya went into the detailing of this kit, by providing opening panels, they did not provide an opening trunk/boot on the front. Possibly because there was no detail to show off, but it was be nice to be able to open everything!!

The Veilside Silvia was great, loads of spare parts for me spares box!! Another little moan was that the wheels looked a bit on the small side!!

Pics when I get started!!

@ Fooesboy

I'm based in the UK.

Proceed to wet yourself!! It's a great kit!! The instruction manual in like those you find in Tamiya's 1/12 F1 kits!

I was reading the manual on the train to work thinking to myself that if there were any modellers on there at the time, they'll think the kit was in the shops already when it's not here!!:hehehe: :hehe:
