fuel problem????
my 93 civic lx all of a sudden died on me in the middle of the road yesterday and now it wont start at all. i just put a full tank of gas in it then started down the road and it stalled. i just recently put new spark plugs in and it recommended that i gapped them but i couldnt so i just put them in. i know that my o2 sensor is bad also, i dont know if that would effect it. the car set for 2 years but ive been driving it for 4 years now, i thought there might be trash or water in it cuz it has been running bad lately. i took the line to my fuel filter and off and turned the key a couple times to see if the gas was getting there and the fuel was coming out so i know that its not the fuel pump. i put a new fuel filter on, now it will crank, but it just studders and tries to cut off unless i push the pedal down, as soon as i release the pedal it cuts back off. would i have a bad fuel injector or what? thanks!! ty

Re: fuel problem????
I would say remove the SPARK PLUGS and gap them correctly if im not mistaking its around .44 maybe thats why its studering cause it might be misfiring

Re: fuel problem????
There isnt just one problem causing all of this, there are a few things compiling on each other here. The spark plug gap on a stock car isnt going to matter as long as you bought the right ones. They're already within tolerance for the vehicle.
Check your fuel filter. That would be the first possible headache. If the fuel filter is bad, obviously replace it. Also, replace the 02 sensor because your gas mileage without it at part throttle is going to be bad. Once you do that, you should see an improvement in mileage and how well the car runs. At this point i would take the car to the dealership and have them give it a tune up. Tell them what is wrong and have it fixed....or just get rid of it because you obviously arent taking good care of it.
