Clicking noise...

After I turn off my engine ( especially after a long drive, not so much on a short one) my engine makes a clicking noise for about 10-15 mins. Now I read somewhere that this is the sound of the metal cooling off, but I;ve never heard it on other cars before. Has anyone experienced this as well? or know why it does this?

It's mostly the exhaust components , metal heats up - it expands , metal cools down - it contracts..nothing more, nothing less. There is a lot of thinner metals with the 6's than most other vehicles so it's more noticeable but all vehicles will essential start doing it.
