I am assuming he has a six speed mine only turns about 2500 at about 65

Define "fast" so you can get some better info. Some cars which might pace the quarter somewhere in the 10 second range only trap at about 130-ish, and struggle to break 160 in five miles. That's not "fast" to some people. Other cars struggle to click off the first quarter in 14 seconds, but top 210 after a couple miles. That's not "fast" to some other people. Which way do you want your "fast?"

Lighter weight and more (temporary) power makes the first kind of "fast" while less drag and more (permanent) power makes the second kind. Little blue Viagra bottles don't help with the second kind of "fast" either. The gearing is completely different, too.
