Yay cool, you got it on.....now take the damn thing off. Nothing I hate worse then someone that rolls around with an unpainted kit. Then when you finally do go into get paint the guy is going to want to bitch slap you for all the road crap he is going to have to clean up durring prep. I know I would.

Re: Full bomex body kit arrives tomorrow morning!!!
i was just about to say that i hope u got it painted before putting it on....but unfortunately its too late. i agree with j on this one, nothing worse than a unpainted/unfinished body kit. even if you are going to get the whole thing painted, the paint shop would have to take the whole kit off anyways, so it looks like u just created a hassle either for yourself, or the person that will be painting the car. congrats. looks good though.

Agreed. I'm not even gonna look at the pics until the car's painted.
However! Good job on installing it, ALOT of people can't even do that with help.

Um...it would be stupid to paint it BEFORE test fitting it. If it doesn't fit correctly or needs work to make it fit flush you just wasted your money to have it painted just to have it worked on and painted again. I've got a kit for my Celica, but I'm not getting it painted until it is test fitted first. That was if it needs a little work (which I already know it does), I won't have to pay twice for a paint job

They DONT take the entire bodykit off, what they do is they tape up the car where is not gonna be painted, and spray the parts that arent taped up.
And for those people who dont like unpainted bodykits, im getting it painted within a week or two cuz i have school everyday and i need my car...

Re: Full bomex body kit arrives tomorrow morning!!!
A good paint shop will take the kit off to paint it. If the kit shifts or in some kits case it settles into its placement the areas that didnt get paint will be showing and will need touched up or just outright painted again to match up correctly.
And miller...its not too late. You always want to test fit before paint. To tell the truth you actually always need to do a dry fit before you do anything to the kit at all. Some if not most body kits you need to do at least a few things with them such as mounting the old hardware to it or maybe tap/drill a few holes and if you have done this then test fit and it turns out it doesnt work you are going to be SOL on sending it back. So a good dry fit is always best before anything gets played with.

Agreed, but I'm willing to put money on it that he's not just test fitting it and it'll stay on until he paints it.

So what if he does, customizing a car is a slow step by step process for a lot of people (someone has to know what I'm saying is true). I had a kit put on my 94 cavy when I had her, and it's a good thing I never got it painted, that thing was a wreck-magnet from day one. I lost the front bumper within 6 months, never to be replaced. Sadly I was forced to sell her minus a front bumper and the rear bumper severely cracked from when a girl ran into the back of me sitting at a stop light. Don't bust his balls for putting it on unpainted, it's his daily driver and sometimes it's hard to get everthing done all at once.
Personally, from past experience, if and when i do anything to my 'lude, I'll save up enough to have the kit bought and installed and painted all at the same time.
