maf
ok i have a nother question...i installed a bomz cold air intake and i have the maf installed with the housing and all that good stuff but my question is on the stock air box theres a 2nd plug ..theres the main plug that goes into the maf housing and then a one more about a foot or so back twards the engin...what is it?? is it part of the maf ...or do i need it even pluged in, im guessing i do cause my engin light is on or does that have to do with new intake....im banging my head on the wall on this on fellas ....

I believe your talking about the IAT. It measures air temprature. It's important because cold air is denser then warm air and it helps to maintain the correct air/fuel ratio. When it is unplugged the computer assumes it's -40ish degrees outside and adds more fuel. It won't harm the engine to unplug it but it may have a minor effect on gas milage which is minimal because of the O2 sensor will compensate. I would just drill a hole in the intake, tap it and screw it in.

yeah it is the IAT...i was doing some reading and figured it out last night at about 2 in the morning...ive hurd and beed told that i can put a ristor in the female end and the computer will think its like 59, 52 somewhere in there.. any one hurd the same?

ok i got the IAT sensor in but the mil light is still on... i got to talk to my proformance 2 class teacher the other day breafly when i went to go register for classes and he said the the computer problely needed to be reset...now ive herd of few people haveing to do that...whats up with that? does the computer not pick up on it. any help here guys....thanks again

The easiest way to reset it is to remove the negative battery cable. Or to save the preset on the radio unplug the pcm.
