I've ridden in a 95 Probe GT and in a 98 Cavalier Z24 and the probe would have beat the Cavalier easy.....Cavalier had intake and exhaust and Probe had exhaust and headers......I would say either the Probe driver couldnt drive, or you were the only one who knew you were racing

I own a 94 Probe GT. It's all stock except for a K&N Filter and I have to say that stock for stock a Probe would kill a cavalier. I used to work for a tire shop so i've driven a lot of cars and a few Z24 Cavaliers and they were no match to the Probe at all. Even one with Intake, headers, exhaust against a stock Probe GT with even drivers would still loose. Maybe not as bad but he still would. Sorry but Probe GT's are fast cars.

i can vouch for that aint no way in hell a cavalier would beat a probeGt unless u boosting or seriously sparying. my only guess is that u did a ricer move and raced yourself and called it a kill.

Wasn't the Probe the illegitimate descendant to the Mustang?
and also When they gave the "Probe " its name, were they thinking of that tool that space aliens use to...ehem...you know...

Melt, if you're gonna take a rented domestic POS to 100 mph, please please please hold the steering wheel right. The cool one-hand-hanging-on-top look is great for chillin around town, but at high speeds we gotta keep our cars under full control at all times. ESPECIALLY, if you're gonna try to pass big black SUV's at 100+. Never know when some soccer mom in an SUV will change lanes without looking and then you're screwed. I'm no stranger to triple digits, but let's not be assholes on the roads.

0-60
93+pgt=7.5
93+pse=9.2
95+base cavy=11+
95+z24=8-9
Cavaliers are really slow compared to other cars with similar hp. The 93+ pse goes 0-60 in 9.2 seconds but it does that with only 118hp (compare to the 95+ base eclipse that does 0-60 in 9.0 with 140hp)

Alright first of all... A Z24 Cavalier has a 2.4 litre 4 cylinder. The Probe GT has a 2.5 Litre V6. In a race the Probe would demolish the cavalier, they had the same exact mods... the probe makes 175 horsepower and the Cavalier is like 150 I believe. Both the same about the same weight, you do the math. I beat a Z24 when I had a Eagle Talon with the NA 2.0 4 cylinder. And that has 140 horsepower. it was a 5 speed. Unless the drive of the Probe did not know how to drive, you without a doubt would have lost.
