Re: GT to a GTP

Here's my 98. Has everything you can get, but baby seat. Only one in Florida with heated seat. No longer close to stock. But GTPs are too much fun to leave them that way.

Re: GT to a GTP

Actually, the GT and GTP have different motors. You can't just take your L36, slap on an Eaton M90 from a GTP, and call it an L67. If you'd like to make some serious power, some company just wrapped up 2 years of R&D on a turbo kit for the L36. A bone stock GT is capable of making 280 at the wheels and 350 at the crank with the base kit. I think Planet Performance has it on their site. Good luck.

Re: GT to a GTP

Along with the supercharger a new fuel pump, piston heads, more vaccume lines, reprogrammed pcm, diff compression ratio, and a stronger lower end would probably be necisarry if you want to safely run it on a naturally aspirated engie. You will prolly end up swapping your engine for a sc L67, and mabe your tranny for a 4t65e. You might consider just selling your grand prix and buying a gtp, might be cheaper.

But if you do want to go with the turbo there are actually 3 turbo kits out/comming out for gps, cartuning performance(3800performance.com), Intense racing turbo setups(intense-racing.com), and the zzp turbo kit (http://stattama.com)
And there is a centrifugal AC kit, which allowed a Monte to run high 11 1/4 mile along with additional modds (http://stattama.com/index.cfm?fuseac...2322&product=1)

you may have noticed that this is really just a summary of everythng that i /other peole have said in this trhead, for some reason it was reopened, and unless there are new things to say, theres no point in saying them in this thread anymore, just cloggs the server.
