Golf 3 (5 to 3 Door Conversion)
I bought the Golf VR6 from fujimi
I will build it with 3 doors instead of the 5-doors. Will build it in clean style. The front: Unchanged side: Side I already cutted: I've closed the gaps and started sanding on the doors: I also removed the holes in the rearlights because I think that doesn't look right after it's put together: Last edited by M-Tuning; 01-24-2007 at 12:02 PM. |

Re: Golf 3 (Transfer 5 to 3 doors)
I've painted the sanded area with black to see if it's smooth.
There are enough places to sand :P Photo of the car with paint on: |

Re: Golf 3 (Transfer 5 to 3 doors)
Hi,
I´m sure, lots of modelers have the idea to make a 2-door car. I intend to make it on the Tamiya Golf IV (somewhen ) I find your idea to enlarge the door excellent, however, the panel-line at the rear end of the door is not correct for a 2-door car. This panel-line comes down from the roof to the lower end of the side windows. Here it turns a little bit to the front of the car (the area where the doorknob sits) and then goes down to the bottom of the door. This turn to the front of the car is right at the 4-door car, the 2-door car has a turn to the end of the car.

Re: Golf 3 (Transfer 5 to 3 doors)
You can buy the MK1 and MK2 with 3-doors, I also got those.
But the MK3 and 4 are only sold with 5-doors |
