please help! overboosting problem

hi pplz
thanks so far for your intel, i have another problem... ive tuned my car with the pfc and ebc but it was tuned on a hot day.. i took it out last night on a cold day, nailed it and there was boost spiking.. is this because ive tuned it on a hot day and the air is thicker? i turned the boost down and and its holding boost properly now. should i have another setting on my ebc for a hot day too?
hot day went to 13psi no probs, then on the cold day went to 14.7psi.. turned it down for the cold day and made 13psi again... im confused... sorry bout all this chit chat.

thanks guys

Dense air could make it spike, because you actually have more volume at the same psi, which will make the turbo spin a little quicker, how much? Not sure.

As for EBC, just change it for what you need.

As long as it does not over boost, your golden.

Re: please help! overboosting problem

It is normal for the boost to be higher when the weather is colder, denser air. Yes you need to monitor and change your boost settings for different weather conditions.

Moisture is going to affect it to as is dryer air.

I answered your torque question HERE

Post up the dyno graph and I can tell you exactly how much torque you have at the flywheel. If you cannot post, catch me on MSN

Re: please help! overboosting problem

Another thing to keep in mine about temp changes. If you tune your car on a hot day, then later in the year when cool weather moves in you're AF ratio will also go out of wack. You could be running up to 3 pts leaner due to the air density difference. If you have a way to check that I would. This to me would also be a great consern, especially if you wind up +12 to 1 AF.

1.5 psi difference on boost shouldn't make you worried unless you've tuned your car to the edge on the hot day. 3psi would definately concern me though.
