i have no idea how we got to ignition switch to tranny........i caught it but i just replyed to tranny...someone must have taken over another post i would say..

The sun gear and sun shell are weak points in this trans.
You must remember that every vehicle made has an inherant fault, not just GM vehicles..so you may go buy a ..(insert new car here)..and find that in a few miles something breaks that is just like any other of the same model.

Just wanted to report back and let everyone know that the sun shell was the cause of this, so I purchased a GM transmission with the 100,000 mile/3 year warranty and now it's running fine! Thanks for all the input!
