Re: camaro ss 1/4 and 1/8 times
One of my friends with a 65 mustang ran about 8.1-8.2 at about 86-87 mph and he dynoed at 368 whp with around 8 pounds of boost. But he bumped his AFR from 13:1 to 12:1 and took out a half a degree of retard and is now running 7.7 at 95 mph, still running 8 pounds of boost, and that's launching at 3200 rpm. It's not at 7.7 sec at 5800 feet but it's still respectible.

Re: camaro ss 1/4 and 1/8 times
Makes it about a low 12/upper 11 second car. Scoots.
I am still learning the launch. Outta the hole at 4000 and it would still bog a little. Wasn't quite in the powerband.
Track is closed until April now though.

Re: camaro ss 1/4 and 1/8 times
That sucks, we only have a few weeks left in the season here. I really want to get my car out there before they close the tracks.
eclipsed at 3am, I think if you get the launch down you'll have a good chance of beating him, you've got the power to weight advantage. Let us know how it goes if you race him.

Re: camaro ss 1/4 and 1/8 times
haha while im restoring my beloved c-10 pickup, im stuck driving an 88 honda accord. i was playing gran turismo 4 the other day and found my little honda in the game and i ran it in their little quarter mile test track deal and it ran a little less than 20 seconds in the quarter!!! that game is pretty accurate to real life too, and i bet thats about how slow my little 75 horsepower rice eater really is in real life

Re: camaro ss 1/4 and 1/8 times
Their stock quarter mile times are pretty much right on. The iroc was in the low 14s and the LS1 was in the deep 13s, and all the other cars were pretty much where you would expect them to be.

Re: camaro ss 1/4 and 1/8 times
Sup dude I didn't read the whole thread but high 12's low 13's unless he sucks at driving.. How's the 16G treating you? I had a 90 GSX with a Big 16G and stomped lots of stock SS's and ws-6's at 23psi on pump gas now if I switched to race gas I could run it up to 28 psi gotta love the ARP head studs. Yeah if your talking on racing him you got him in the bag if you can drive. He has taller gears so keep that in mind if you run him. Make sure he doesn't have a hidden bottle of Nitrous somewhere that a heartbreaker when you think they are bone stock then they come on out with a 75 shot.

Really fast? That is subjective.
Too bad my 1999 is really slow. Otherwise we could e-race.
