Re: What have you done to your cavy, and how much invested thread

i've spent about a thousand in repairs on this 350 dollar rust bucket i love so much.

-muffler hanger
-since 02/05, 4 front brake pads
-pcv valve, o2 sensor, oil, filter, air filter, egr valve (when i first got it)
-maybe 4 or 5 oil changes since..

now the fun stuff
-two coolant hoses ruptured, $120
-key stuck in ignition cylinder, replaced $50 including tools
-3 of 4 rims bent, pure loss... (the steelies, not my celica rims which were $100)
-1 wheel cylinder replaced, i forgot how much i paid
-coil busted, fryed a spark plug wire $30
-re-sealed a loose windshield $70 with a promise of discounted tints when i go back
catalytic converter $58.75, installed for $80 (welding)

now the actual fun stuff...
bought a 12" blitz audio sub used, it busted, bought a 12" pioneer to replace it
800watt torch audio amp (the subs were both 800)
my rims which i mentioned before
bought some used tires, 1 blew out, another slowly leaked ($120)
bought some new kumho tires ($230 shipped)
sony cdx gt200 deck... $129.99 with fit kit and antenna adapter

i'm tired of thinking but i think the rest is just bullshit like floor mats and bright white interior lights (194s)

I agree it looks messy when the stuff gets old and starting tearing or falling apart or it looks messy when its put on there half ass. like on the hood of my stang I like it because it has a mustang like stamped in the lining so it looks nice .

Re: What have you done to your cavy, and how much invested thread

I didn't have anything on my WHITE 2.2, cleaned under the hood with Simple Green everytime I washed my car and it looked damn near new, and I never had any heat issues, and my exhaust was too loud to notice any road/engine noise.

Re: What have you done to your cavy, and how much invested thread

updated my cardomain page, finally. With most of this info i posted here. Plus some things finally came together, and it turns out I'm just waiting for a few more mods, before it becomes almost done..I say almost, b/c you can never really be done, there are tons of things you can do that you haven't even thought of. if you have car domain and would like to rate me and leave me a comment, I would gladly do the same in return Thanks
