fords aren't really known for their resale value. 2 grand for a 14 year old car isn't too cheap anyway.

Yeah, the value went way down on the first generations. There are still some second generations that can ask quite a bit of money. I paid $8,500 for my excellent condition second generation. They aren't cheap to maintain or mod, ask anyone who ones one and they will tell you the same. I like them because they are sleepers, I can drive around unoticed most of the time . Plus for the initial buying price, they keep up with and beat cars that cost up to $30k and $40k.

lol yeah i bought my SHO for 1 grand, love it though except i cant get any civics or integras to race me cuz i look crazy revving my engine in a taurus

Biggest hurt on resale value of SHO is the cost to maintain them. And because of that most people have one's that everything on it is way overdue. I bet most SHO at 100,000 miles need about 5G in parts and labor to be back in top mechanical shape.
