Okay, Am I crazy? Or just Blind?

I just left mine in. It's been fine. Ran a little better with the new one also, but the old one was pretty dirty. By the time I found this, my old one was long gone. If you can still fish it out, I'd do that, and just hold onto it. Like I said, mine has not consumed any oil, or shown any deposits on the TB (which I've checked numerous times while messing with intake setups) since I changed it almost 3 months ago.
