Re: 4X4 problems - yeah I've seen the other posts

I have had the same problem, seems like most folks can't get the 4wd to engage but my blazer has a mind of its own and really like 4wlo. I didn't really think it was a vacume problem since it would pull in by itself and not want to come out. I can't seem to get a reading on the scanner, I think the same reading you received. So I decided to try the cheapest fix for the symptoms which is to replace the dash switch. If not I am only out $7.00. The other choice is tccm which is NOT $7.00! This has been a pain in my
*%**Y# for a while now but my 2000 blazer is not my major mode of transportation I have a 2001 without 4wd for that! So needless to say I am a slow worker, I think about my problems before jumping in on them. I have purchased all the gm service manuals to read about the job and talked to alot of people, mostly on this forum! I am very interested to hear about your blazer so I will keep watching to see the outcome! The only real information I have is that this is most common with the late 99 and 2000 blazer and that this is one of the most complicated areas diagnose and figure out! For now I just drive it when I want to without the ATC fuse under the hood and we are all good! Good Luck!

Yeah, well I'm going to find the TCCM at my leisure. This was ths fix for the same symptoms 3 years ago...at any rate I'm ordering it from someone in Utah who got a control arm for $25 dollars. I'll see what she has; in the meantime I'm driving without the ATC switch under the dash also. I should have an update in a few days.

Re: 4X4 problems - yeah I've seen the other posts

Hi Denise2580,

I promised I would post on this again. I did buy a used TCCM (15748800) for $180, I ordered from a junk yard in VA - but I never installed because after seven years I finally traded in the vehicle. If you're interested in the part hit me up. Thanks!
