1:8 32 Ford... Big Deuce with Big detail
This is a build I really need to get back into and finish.
Its a Revell 1:8 scale 32 Ford roadster with all panels opened up and hinged.... including the cowl vent and many other scratch built details so far......... Let me know if you would like to see more. Regards, Dan Last edited by viperofoz; 04-15-2012 at 03:55 AM. |

Of course we'd like to see more! So tell me, what does the engine sound like when it's running? Fantastic work. I know this is a bigger scale but your details are amazing all the same. Great workmanship here.

Looking good so far Dan!
Have you used the photoetch grill insert or have you cut out and sanded the back of the original part? I was worried that the photoetch would look too flat but if this is the part it looks really nice. John S. I love to see more! |

it really does look too flat in this scale. I simply cut the bars from the custom grille in the kit (that way if I messed up I'd still have the stock grille). Then once I was left with just the outer grille frame I used music wire and cut new bars that were much more in scale and fitted them in place with CA. Here's the new grille next to the mostly scratch built see-through radiator core And finally... with a coat of paint. Regards, Dan |

Re: 1:8 32 Ford... Big Deuce with Big detail
Heres a few more details I've prepared for the Deuce:
Heres the hinged reverse opening trunk... in preperation for a dickie seat I built the banjo wheel using brass rod and the kit supplied rim and hub. Here are the carbs on the flathead with return spring..... fuel lines and clamps will be added once its installed Heres a shot of the scratchbuilt valve stem with dice cap and modifies trim ring. More to come Regards, Dan |

Wow this is phenomenal. Great work. The steering wheel is awesome. So what colour you planning on painting this beauty?
