Re: The Official Blazer Forum Off Topic Thread part III
Motor blew up big time. Been having cyclic overheating where 20 minutes into a run it would send all heat into car but temp gauge would not go past 180 then you would smell antifreeze and then it would puke out overflow. Had it into mechanic last friday for coolant flush coolant temp system another pressure test and i had no issues friday then it started saturday and it did it saturday sunday then when i went to him yesterday she blew up. I started spewing antifreeze out of my vents in the car and it was during our monsoon here so everything is fogging up then i had to go climb a big ol hill and its getting worse worse nearly stalled at top of hill then just got there. What was great was even though no antifreeze in overflow i had a big puddle. We might get some permanent headgasket repair stuff or something so i can drive it into the junkyard for more money. I put some good amount of coin into it to make it run.

Re: The Official Blazer Forum Off Topic Thread part III
Anyone around me also affected by the massive flooding? My towns probally one of the few dry ones haha besides swamp land everywhere but it now takes a good while to go anywhere. First ones in the state to get the national guard and coast guard today. Its all moving down stream raw sewage and all. Among other things we got floating in that river, coal residue(waste). We got Auburn, Haven, Parts of pottsville port carbon tamaqua all shut down so many places so many roads. Thought town was going to be closed this morning the one creek going out of town by our post office was up to the top of the bridge. We were forecast to get rain overnight but not now which is good. We have had like 15-16" since Saturday night. Wilkes Barre up the line about 45 mins is about to get an anal raping by the Susquehanna.

Re: The Official Blazer Forum Off Topic Thread part III
Well living in Canada's hottest area isn't too nice here either these days.
I'm ticked off, I just bought a 3" body lift kit and found out that they're too cheap to even supply bumper re-locating brackets.
I could really care less about the back since I'm flipping my trailer hitch upside down and I might get a bumper built to work around it or make a custom roll pan, but I'd sure like to raise the front bumer those 3" to match the body.
Plus don't they usually have something to raise the fuel tank as well?
I would have made my own up if I'd have known that they were going to miss hard to fabricate yourself stuff

Re: The Official Blazer Forum Off Topic Thread part III
Shawn:
I live south of you, just south of Gettysburg. We've been hit pretty hard with the flooding in the area, we had two teenagers that have gone missing and appear to have been swept away in one of our creeks.
Here is a link to the story from my area - http://www.baltimoresun.com/news/loc...-local-carroll
The Monocacy River went over it's banks along with all the feeder creeks that go to it.
I'm staying dry, but some of my neighbors have 2-3' of water in their homes.
Sorry to hear about the Calais, hope you can find something soon to take it's place.

Which one? Rlith voted for the grand cherokee.
I had applied there because i was told they accept all credit applications. She tells me that 5-700 down would be no problem and that she could easily get me financed for 8k probally more. They will even take my pos 88 cutlass calais which my mechanic is redneck engineering at this moment since it will run lol. He is dumping in k&w permanent block and head sealer he never tried it no one he knows ever has im his guniea pig. They told me to come down monday july 3 6PM to take a walk discuss finance things and what not. lol im happy now but will be dissappointed monday because thats how this year has been going.

Good luck with it Shawn.
In all reality I'm a Jeep man, but I do believe that the Durango is a better vehicle.
I thought that I'd share these pictures

Re: The Official Blazer Forum Off Topic Thread part III
See where i might get in trouble Stu and (ill be hopefully getting some of them pics in the Sproul next week) is i found Chryslers site and they got like idk 7 vehichles certified pre owned that i like. For instance i like newer but when you have anywhere from a 89 C1500 to a 91 Sonoma extended cab 4x4 4.3 to a set of 91 blazers my heart falls there. Im going down actuallY Sunday with my dad while they are closed because that way when i go Monday night i will know what i want to drive and see what i can do. Honestly if i go down Sunday night and i like that Sonoma i might just call her up monday night and see if they would go 350/400 on calais 130 cash on spot 150 cash thursday and no cosignor just drive. Because even with 300 calais then by Thursday another 180 i want to be in the 500 down range somehow.

Re: The Official Blazer Forum Off Topic Thread part III
hey guys, I have some questions.
1. whats the difference in the engine as a whole on the 4.3L VIN W and X. On the 4.3L info i saw that VIN X has 10 less HP. I'm starting to look at some Blazers, preferably the ZR2 2-Door 2002+. The pickup is fine, but would really like a 6cyl engine, and 4x4.
2. what's a fair price for a 2003-2004 ZR2 (most have about 30-50K miles)

Re: The Official Blazer Forum Off Topic Thread part III
Mechanic is bypassing the heater core on the cutlass. Apparently what had happened was that heater core blew up then i guess it was building pressure and shooting it back out overflow and into car. he is still going to use the K&W stuff he got and what not should have that monday, i have to call the lady down there and what not to check in with her.
Mike thats retarded lol but im in at 6AM tommorow, 7am Monday,6Am Tuesday. Getting a 51 hr check on Thursday.
